IOTB...
Bradl only 0.6 secs down on Pedrosa must be a good sign for HRC.
Everyone knows that among the testers, Pedrosa is a lot closer to race pace than most, and Bradl is, well, at the other end of the scale, so that gap makes the 24 Honda look quite reasonable!
Acosta... what more can you say?

What's Pedro doing there on Day 1? Are rookies allowed extra testing days?

While Pedro is doing well it does make me think maybe the current lot aren't quite as special as the alien era.

The conspiracy theorists (Spain chapter) are already preparing the excuses for Marc's poor performance, or at least trying to explain why he isn't 3 seconds clear at the top, which is of course what most Spanish fans expected. The Italian engineers and Ducati are sabotaging his bike. Right, of course they are... Gonna be a long season.

Conspiracy theorists aside I think MM is sounding very pragmatic. After Valencia maybe some thought he would blitz Sepang but that's not being realistic...6th fastest and just outside the 1.56's is OK, he needs time to adapt. I think (hope) he'll do very well but probably won't be fighting for the Championship this season.

I get the feeling there was a time that it lloked like Marc was going to struggle to match Acosta's pace, and that was probably the line which could not be crossed!

No point smashing yourself up before the season starts.
If Marquez does nothing this year I think he'll go.

New HRC bike looks nice.
Still obviously Repsol despite the reduced funding. I think it looks better TBH.
Incidentally, Repsol are still running TV ads in Spain with Marc in them so there must still be a contract in force somewhere, somehow.

TBH, I thought that they looked like a dogs dinner... but that's down to my tastes. I don't like the way that "Honda" is splashed across the fairing; it looks a mess! But that is probably down to the new fairing and aero design making it look disjointed.

It looks utter dogshit. Then again they all do but the graphics on the Honda are total crap.
Only zarco has a good one.v

Jack Miller is poor at the moment. Got the feeling Marquez actually is just keeping his powder dry and already thinking long run.
Honda don't seem to have made giant leaps but maybe it will come.

Didn't Crafar say on Twitter or somewhere that Marc was sandbagging in his opinion?
Strange for a pro, employee of Dorna to say that unless it was obvioulsy true.
4th in testing on a private bike is extremely good though so probably that was his true potential yesterday.
KTM look to be struggling a bit, I get the feeling that Yamaha and possibly Honda might give them a run for their money towards the end of the season.
