He's pleaded guilty to 3 counts of making indecent images of children (aka young boys).....nonce....mental issues or not he deserves jail time. The media ran cover for him until the truth came out because he's one of their own.

There was a post from the secret barrister about it. Quite detailed in explaining why it was a normal sentence according to the sentencing guidelines. Easy to argue that the guidelines need changing. He could also probably afford a better defence than most of us.
First offender, previous good character, pled guilty, unlikely to reoffend, mental health issues; it all combines to get you a 6 month suspended sentence even though you had a photo of a 7 year old boy with a cock in his mouth on your phone.
