Turning petrol into noise by the look of it, 3.366s off the pace. At the weekend, FP3, his worst difference, he was 1.4s. Just 16 laps, cant be testing much.

So it turns out that Dovi was actually testing Alpinestars' new helmet yesterday.
He had actually racced all season with an unbranded helmet because although he had a deal to use the Alpinstars lid, it wasn't ready at the start of the year, so the idea was that he would use it in the last few races once homologated, but as he has quit, I guess that plan is off the table!

So MM has been away ofter a major arm op for some time. Comes back and is the fastest Honda rider. Pol, Taka and brother must be in tears.

So MM has been away ofter a major arm op for some time. Comes back and is the fastest Honda rider. Pol, Taka and brother must be in tears. It can't have come as much of a surprise surely, Taka must be out too, so Marc will be the only continuity for Honda.

About time Taka is out. His company man gig went on too long. Disappointed in Pol's tenure though. I thought some 'screen biting' as Hodgson puts it, would be in order for the Honda but he looked 2nd rate on it. Fuck knows what happened to Alex Marquez, had a couple of races when it looked like he'd cracked the Honda code then nothing.

Who knows but it was a disappointing story arc going from almost winning to obscurity again for Alex. We will see what a Ducati brings.
Actually it's a pity about the reduction of the Yamahas on the grid as I'd like know if the bike really is shit or it's just poor riders. I can't see FB rising up again so we;ll have to wait to 2024 to see if someone else can ride it like FQ.

HRC have history of stuff like this, remember Shinichi Itoh on that fuel injected NSR in the 93 season, that fucker was faster than even Doohans motor, and then later on when Kenny Roberts Junior was riding Honda RCV's in a Roberts chassis, seemed to be going nowhere then got some updated / uprated electronics from HRC and was instantly on the pace and nearly won a GP at the back end of the season.

Honda WSB efforts seemed to involve unobtanium parts as well. Yeah, you could buy a RC30/45/51 but if you're weren't HRC you weren't going to win on it. Some of those privateer Honda efforts in 500s were possibly as lowly powered as 130hp. No fucker is winning with 130hp, light v-twin or not.
