For me I would say my Cbr400. The bike model itself wasn't shit but this one wasn't very mint.
I paid about 1400 for it and its body work was a bit shit in places and it initially came with an exhaust rhe owner had removed the packing from.
As it was my first sports style bike since my ban and subsequent kmx riding I thought it was great initially. Once I got used to the riding style again I started to suspect the suspension was dog shit.
As I got faster the thing would pump mid bend like a motogp Ducati. This came to a head when I went to the TT with my mate who had made a late move into biking and had a f800s BMW. I thought I'd whip him but his Ron Haslam sessions and new BMW left me round most of the course.
Realistically I should have got a new rear shock and sorted the front but I took my bat home and bought the zx6r. At least I then beat him when we went Caldwell. The cunt.

I had an RD200 which had been restored. Looked lovely, but the barrels and heads had been plastic coated in black. That kept the heat in a treat, to the point that it would heat sieze after exactly 7 miles without fail.
The solid front brake disc and wooden pads made for no brakes in the rain causing many hilarious moments at roundabouts and traffic lights.

I just used to be so obsessed with nice bikes that I would save like Billy-o to get a decent set of wheels. The cheapest bike I ever had was an RC35. I didn't really have any money, I was just a run of the mill squaddie, but you can save a lot in 6 months living in a muddy tent in Bosnia, even on a soldier's wages. The other thing is that I am so shit at DIY stuff I dare not buy anything too shit, because I wouldn't have a fucking clue how to fix the cunt. |

Kawasaki GPZ750 ......1983 model....not a pile of shite but alongside other bikes I’ve owned this was the “worst”....but ok for its time. I really wanted the GPZ900 but couldn’t afford one, this came up in the small ads (it was the 80’s!), old guy from Colchester owned it....”yeah mate, solid bike....nevva given me any bovva”....didn’t give me any bother until I had to get it re-bored!...

Keeping up the GPz theme, I had a 600R which was hanging, but man it pulled well.
Ended up racing my by then ex-girlfriend on her FZR600 up the M4 on it, I was well chuffed that it pulled well over 140 mph on the speedo and stayed there for miles. I was also impressed (but not, unfortunately, concerned) that it pulled way into the red rev zone in top gear. No sort of limiter seemed to be stopping it and red mist was having the opposite effect. I was stretching that throttle cable. It was only the second 4 stroke I'd owned after years of 2 strokes, so I wasn't really aware of the mechanical pain I was subjecting it to.
When we finally pulled off at Swindon and slowed down at the top of the slip road the GPz sounded like a pneumatic jack hammer with a Famiy Circle tin of ball bearings tied to it. I was convinced that it was the cam chain tensioner which had got stuck and needed a jolt to unstick it, so I set about smaking it with a piece of wood, John Cleese stylee. Didn't work. Which wasn't surprising when I eventually found out that both cams had bounced on the rockers so hard that they had stripped all the journal bolts out of the head and were effectively only held in by the cam cover. Every rocker was fucked, every thread in the head, every cam journal and the cams themselves were junk.
To be fair it wasn't the bike's fault and to this day I'm still not really sure I regret it. There was no way that tart on her FZR was gonna outpace me.

Once owned a GT500 Suzuki. That should have been enough but my stupidity knows no bounds. Car pulled out on me and it got written off, mainly cosmetic damage but you wouldn't know the piece of shit that it was. So what did I do, only went & bought it off the insurance company and turned it into a proddy racer. Told you I was stupid. Not exactly competitive in a field full of RD400's and the occasional KH500. Most memorable moment was the old Snetterton circuit, back then Corams was wide open and never ending before the chicane went in. Speed through this very quick corner was dictated by the bravery through the bombhole which upset suspension. On that crate I needed a safety roll through the dip. Then one lap I decided it was a pussy's move so kept it pinned. Now, the GT500 has a long spindly swinging arm made of plastic. The bump at the bomb hole set off a weave and as the corner unrolled the weave got progessively worse and every shake of the bars had me heading towards the outside of the corner till my front wheel was nibbling the grass. As I was still fighting to stay on, I saw a flurry of movement in my peripheral vision and yellow flags. Through my mind went the words "fuck you, I'm still on this, you bastards" Hung on somehow and made it through, went back to rolling through the bombhole after that. On the slowdown lap the marshals at Corams were standing at the side of the track clapping & giving the thumbs up. I bought an RD400 shortly after that.

I had a CD185 that I was given as a kid. I used to ride it over the local pits until it died. It was in decent condition but it was total shit.
