On track, Marquez is a joy to watch, i personally love his go for it mentality. Off track he seems a nice guy. I'm guessing his detractors are in two camps, the ones with the longer memories of him riding like a cunt in moto2, and the Rossi fans who blame him for ruining his last chance of another motogp title. Am I a Marquez detractor for saying that he is the title favourite in my book? Just for clarity like... I'm not sure where the point about Marquez detractors came into this....

I'm a fan of racing so I just wish that there was someone who could challenge him seriously, but I just don't see it. last years title went down to the last laps of the last round. him and dovi both won six races and in the majority of cases where they both went at it, dovi came out on top. the year before that everyone won a race. marquez is hardly running away with title after title. with respect, i think you just want him beaten but are trying to appear neutral.

i don't understand what you're watching. being a marquez fan is not easy. he is hard to watch, takes insane risks, crashes more than anyone across all 3 classes, hardly ever settles. you're not a marquez fan. that's clear, because there is nothing certain or monotonous about him or the honda. he ended the test 7th i think. as for the yamaha. vinales was focusing solely on race pace and rossi was quickest on day one? Eh? I'm watching the same as everyone... I thought it was commonly accepted that MM was the best rider out there?? He ended the test in 7th because he was testing engines, he didn't go looking for a fast time, but lets be honest here, if Dani put his Honda into 2nd, Marc could have beat Lorenzo's time on it. If you think otherwise then you've been watching something else for the last few years. You're right with one thing though, just because I think he's the best rider out there (by quite a margin) doesn't mean I'm a fan. I'm a fan of racing so I just wish that there was someone who could challenge him seriously, but I just don't see it. I didn't think my comment was going to be so polemic, sorry. I'll say ot again, I don't think that Marquez is monotonous as a rider, I think it is a shame that there appears to be no serious challenger to him. Maybe monotonous was the wrong word... how about predictable? Rossi was quickest on day one, yes, but then couldn't repeat the same time even after returning to the same set up. I don't think that bodes well for Yamaha really. Oh, and by the way Marquez doesn't really crash, he just fails to save a slide from time to time. He leaves the real crashing to his brother. He is probably the best natural talent out there, but was challenged all the way by Dovi last year.....hardly predicatable.

I'm not a betting man really but a quick look on William Hill shows that MM is favourite at 2.1 and second favourite is JL at 7...
I would say that the bookies see it as quite predictable...
But anyway it's just chitchat. I'm not about to do a Mekon!

I think that the racing is as close as it's ever been, and last year was the best i've ever witnessed. MM is the best rider but last year his bike not so good, hence the close racing. I'm praying that the Honda is still a bit shit this year and we get proper racing again. Look what happened in the past when the best rider was on the best bike. Ago annihilation and Doohan domination.( See what i did there? ) Do we want to see Marquez mangalation, or something?
