With regards to DiGi's podium and future, yes, it sucks, but isn't it one of those situations when it at least looks from the outside that things only change when the shit hits the fan and it's too late? He's had two years and done relatively little... so... I'd be pleased to see him stay in the shuffle to fill Marc's seat, and he's probably a better bet that some of the options of bringing in riders from elsewhere, but if he gets a deal it'll be one year only, last chance saloon! Apparently Ducati put the kibosh on changing the bike in order to suit the rider; it is though that the bike has a very narrow operating window and his crew chief (Frankie Carchedim) was told not to go aside this. Since being told that Di Gi is getting the flick, they though, "Fuck it", and turn the bike inside out and upside down. According to Carchedim, DiGi has gone from the worst at breaking at Ducati to the best in the space of a couple of races. I remember Chris Walker testing the Shell NSR500 at a cold Donington Park back in February 2001; he was riding the bike with the setting that Honda said he should use and ride it in a certain way, but he was 3 seconds off the pace and very uncomfortable on the bike. After saying, "Fuck it", his chief engineer threw all of Honda settings out of the window and Walker ended up within a second of the lap record. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to use his new settings during the season and crashed his brains out!

Good showings from Oncu and Zarco really. Acosta got done out of some points though with the half points award. Still it is what it is. What was up with Ogden not qualifying? Obviously Spanish DAZN didn't go into a lot of detail, just saying he failed to meet the minimum lap time requirement. Seems odd. Whately qualified.... Odgen has gone of the boil recently... has he been injured?

Obviously Spanish DAZN didn't go into a lot of detail, just saying he failed to meet the minimum lap time requirement. Seems odd. Whately qualified.... Odgen has gone of the boil recently... has he been injured? This is from the team's Facebook page; "It's been a day of two halves for us here at Phillip Island. Scott Ogden hasn't had the chance to spin a wheel in anger so far. We're seeing a fatal systems error persist on his bike despite new electrical looms twice over." "Through no fault of his own, and despite the team's best efforts, Scott Ogden's weekend has ended here. Having completed 5 laps across the three practice sessions, he sits outside the 105% required to qualify."
