Last year:
1. Aspargus 2. Martin 3. Rins
4 riders not attending due to injury.
No idea for prediction but just hoping Jack continues making the KTM good. Really have warmed to him.

I really like Argentina as a track.
Peco has to be a shoo in for the win, with other Duacti riders and possibly MV and Miller trying there best to keep him honest!

Top Gun for the win.
Everyone will be breathing a sigh of relief now Marc is on the naughty step.

Now Marc knows that he'll have to do the LL penalty wherever he races next, I wonder if he will suddenly recover enough to race at Argentina? Makes sense to try surely?

The injury that MM sustained is a Bennett Fracture (displaced intra-articular fracture of the base of the first metacarpal) and I've had this on my left hand; the thumb is set in place and 2x pins are inserted, to keep it from moving, then from your 2nd phalanges/phalanx up to the middle of your forearm is potted. Unless they do something very special with the cast, I can't see him being able to use the throttle!

Given the absolute state they let people ride in he'll be fine to qualify last, do his penalty and go home to the hyperbaric chamber.

In my experience, you cannot use the thumb at all, because the pins lock it in place; I was able to change gears in my car and engage the hand brake after the operation using the palm area and fingers of my left hand respectively, but to release the handbrake, I had to use my right hand. Unless the injury was absolute BS and a smoke screen, I would be surprised if he was allowed to ride, let alone qualify and do a few laps. Just a thought, but would he have to do the long lap penalties during the sprint race or the GP?

There's a lot of speculation in the Spanish press about him doing the Argentinian round just to clear the penalty, no mention that the injury would prevent it. Not doubting you Neil, but most seem to assume he could be declared fit and qualify.
The new wording from FIM says the next race, so technically he could comply in the Sprint when there's less at stake, but again it's all debate and speculation in the press here.
It seems that they haven't really thought this through...

If I was the FIM/DORNA, I would have a word with the track medical team and declare him not fit if it turns out that he's going to race this weekend. I broke my thumb doing a hobby that I love (riding motorcycles), but for these guys, their determination and will to win is on a level way above mine; I could have cut the pot off and removed the pins a week early myself so that I could attended a race school at Mallory Park that I had organised, that I was going to miss, but why risk damage for a hobby?

I read Hoppers book and he really shouldn't have been riding quite a lot of the time. Amazing what they will pass as fit.

Aprilia looking good. Got to get ahead of that Ducati power on the straights though.

Morbidelli in Q1, strange indeed.
Miller frying tyres a la Gary McCoy!
