I'd like to see AEsp win this one and for FQ to have an off day barely scrape into the top 10, so that it'll close up the championship a bit! Well, not quite what I predicted, but the end result was pretty same!

The Wayne Rainey feature was very moving, lump in the throat stuff when you remember how he was in his prime. I'm really looking forward to the documentary!

Very entertaining day's racing! Not sure McPhee was a victim in that crash though, OK he probably crashed as a result of the Muñoz / Masia clash, but it was his own doing. Ogden seemed to have a bad day too, not sure what happened there. At least Dixon saved the British interest in Moto2, at last an intelligent ride and some points in the bag. I felt a bit sorry for Arenas TBH, he deserved a podium I reckon. Ogura's come back was fantastic, he was all over the place but held it together to take points from Vieti. Vieti's season seems to be coming apart, similar to Foggia in Moto3. Speaking of Vieti and Foggia having problems to keep the lead, I wonder if Assen marks a change for Quartararo? If there was one track where he should have won it was Assen! He's been handed a long lap for Silverstone so a win there looks like a tough ask. Bagnaia isn't out of the woods yet either, he held it together for the win this time, but he was hardly being pressured by Bezzecchi, and it was only Bezzecchi. Ride of the day was Aleix of course. The DAZN commentators were betting on where he'd be able to recover to just after he started overtaking. Lorenzo said 7th, another one said 6th, I thought they were insane! Pleased for Viñales, is he now going to be a rival to Aleix for top Aprilia rider?

FQ can't complain too much about his penalty. I won't cause him too much trouble to pull that back around Silverstone. FB is still a long way back despite getting 25 points back. Still don't think he's a title runner this year.
I remember BT said last round that Foggia has been defending a lead he never actually had this season. He needs to find a different gear.
Good job Vieti has seemingly secured a GP ride as he's not looking amazing at the moment. Ok but not amazing.

To be honest i'm getting bored with the big boys, watched them only half interestedly yesterday and when the Quatararo / Espagaro thing went off i was like " oh somethings happened " then carried on browsing, a complete contrast to years gone by when the tiddlers were a programme filler....sort of. For me now Moto 3 is the main event, and even Moto 2 with the British interest and Acosta especially is pushing the Moto GP down the order of watch.

Exciting M2 race. Ai, riding hard.
Epic m3, Love that Sasaki won. I predict the next top Japanese rider. McPhee was his own fault, got sucked in.
MGP. Slowly is Vinales working his way back as a top rider. Had him written of mentally, but looks like things are on track. Less pressure. AEsp, what a ride. The last pass of Miller and Binder was great.
Fabio was all over the place today in the opening lap. Trying way too hard to get out in front. Giving him a penalty at the next race is a bit hars though.

You're not allowed to put a "wheel" out of line these days! Agree with AEsp... amazing ride through the field and final pass! Have we gotten him wrong for all of these years, riding on inferior or underdeveloped machinery, and it is now that he is showing his talent on a competitive machine (even Vinales is able to ride it)? Or is his achievements being masked by a lack of decent Honda and Yamaha bike/rider combinations? M3 and M2 were also excellent! Dixon is almost there and I would like to see him do well; especially as he came direct from BSB and not WSS/WSB/GPs.

Good point about Aleix shining when Honda and Yamaha are in trouble. Does anyone really think that he would be beating Marc on a bike he had developed over a winter? Hopefully we'll find out next year.
But on the other hand where were Suzuki yesterday? And he's doing well against an armada of Ducatis, all of which seem capable of winning.

Hmm, it looked like McPhee got spooked a bit by the crash in front of him, maybe a little twitch or something was enough to send the grip over the limit. The Quatararo penalty is very harsh considering it was a marginal contact compared to the Nakagami thing in Barcelona but the incident is also a consequence of the electronic gizmos and unbelievable tyre grip meaning everyone is at the absolute limit with very little leeway being allowed to make a good safe pass, its now literally a split second judgement and the law of averages says some one will get it wrong some time. Some of the stewards decisions are starting to spoil the races too, the green track limits warning thing is being over used, they've managed for years without this shit so why so much now.
