Great win for Bastianini...Factory seat between him and Martin next season??.. But ride of the day for me was MM, 18th to 6th with pace to win had he not had such a bad start. Superb.

That may be the weekend of the season. Such a shame about the moto2 DNFs but overall three brilliant races.

Hard to tell if MM would have had the pace to win as Bast was still faster later in the race but then again MM used his tyre up getting to FQ as he seemed to run out of steam at that point. I'm certain he would have been on the podium though. That race also sort of summed up Miller. I don't think he'll keep that seat.
FQ must be getting pissed off now. He'll have a job on defending the title with mediocre results and this 'sweet handling' thing isn't going to do you much good at certain tracks. Is FM out of contract this year? I'd boot him tbh as he's never looked anything like his 2020 self. At least MM is still a potential title winner.
Back down to earth for Aprilia.

I admit to being confused about Marc. If you have a leg or arm injury, you get back on the bike at maybe 80% fit, but with a vision deficiency surely you wait until it's completely gone? Maybe I missed some other injury but every time they said that he still hasn't fully recovered from the crash I thought WTF! I thought that the Spanish press would be all over this. According to BT Sports his doctors have said that his eye condition will never "heal" and that it can come back at anytime; the next knock to the head and his diplopia could become permanent. Pleased for Dixon and his team... that podium has been coming for a while. He has the speed and talent, so hopefully this Jake can start stringing a decent season together.

I feel sorry for Hopkins. If he'd had airbag technology he'd not be half as fucked as he is. Then again maybe Marquez is just thinking fuck it, got airbags.

Bagnaia, Miller, Zaro and Martin all have 2022 bikes (or versions of it) and Bastianini the 2021. From qualifying it looked like 2022 versions have improved, but Bastianini won. He managed his tyres. Never out of the top 3. His last 2 laps were only 0.5s slower than his fastest. The last 3 were all in 2'30s. Bagniai lost places mid race. Martin on pole but faded to 8th. Miller led most of the race but lost pace at the end. resources.motogp.com/files/results/2022/AME/MotoGP/RAC/Analysis.pdf?_ga=2.249397063.1352165472.1649336228-1719984486.1610030341 Bagniai is 4th in the championship out of those 4. After last year's performance it looked fine when he signed that contract to the end of 2024 in February. Now, not so much so. The first 4 races were the 2021 Ducati's/Bastianini's. Lets see how the next 4 go. Will Bastianini be top Ducati at the end of the season? The 2022 bike will need to be improve for any of them to catch him. I dont think they will. So far Bastianini has won 2 and scored points in the other 2 races.

MM could have won it if he had a decent start.
M3, great as usual, Oncu pretty much passed on every corner. Kid has a set of big balls. Rooting for Sasaki, Japan might finally have there rider. Calm and fast. Havn't had time to se the M2 race.

I think Oncu is verging on the side of being a dangerous cunt. That barge was totally uncalled for. Not sure how he didn't at least get a long lap. He's also won nothing since he got lucky at Valencia years ago? Turkish Binder.

Deniz Oncu should have received a penalty, likewise Surra(?) in FP or Q, who bust his wrist. Can Oncu is in WSS, not winning much there.

Late to the party again... The long term perspective for Marc is clear, but I'm not sure that his vision was entirely clear when he raced on Sunday...
Luckily for him a few wild lunges is seen as normal so no harm done, this time.
Bastianini must be thinking that this is too good to be true, so it probably is, but I can't see who is going to sneak up on him and take the lead... Rins will start to crash again, the Aprilia's will blow hot and cold. Bagnaia could do it... Dunno.
Beaubier folded under the pressure, shame really as it was his chance to shine. Dixon needs to follow that podium up with another one and then not do a Chantra. I hope Chantra brushes off this bad weekend. Acosta was at least looking better for a while.
Oncu is a liability for sure, but entertaining! Masía is a dick though, as is García. When is McPhee coming back? Is he coming back? Will he suddenly resurface on Redding's BMW in a few rounds time?
